What Is a Ductless Mini-Split?
A ductless mini-split pairs one outdoor unit with one or more indoor air handlers. Refrigerant lines run between them through a hole in the wall about three inches across. You don’t lose closet space and you don’t end up with soffits.
Each indoor unit has its own thermostat, so you set the temperature room by room. These systems are heat pumps, which means the same equipment that cools your home in July heats it in January.
